As a mother, your prayers for your daughter are powerful. Praying for your daughter, no matter how young or old she is, is a lifelong opportunity. Whenever you start praying for your daughter or anyone else, there are so many different aspects you can pray about. You may want to make a simple calendar and pray for different specific focuses each day. For example, on Sunday you could pray for your daughter’s relationship with God. Monday’s prayer focus could be on your daughter’s relationship with others and her friendships.
You could also simply pray for each of these things every day. There is no magical way to pray for your daughter, but consistency and daily prayer is key to allowing God to work in her life. As a mother, your prayers have the ability to surround your daughter with God’s protection and chase the Devil away. Your daughter has a free choice every day, but your prayers can multiply God’s ability to work in her life.
I know my daughter better than anyone else, I know the pain that she feels, the hopes and dreams she has, and the questions she has about life. So in my prayer for my daughter, I can pray for those specific needs that she has right now and give God permission to work in her life. You can do this too!

Dear Father in Heaven, You know my daughter’s heart and you want a close relationship with her. I pray today that you will help her as she grows and matures, and that she will grow to love You more. Help her to have a heart after Yours and desire to follow Your leading in her life. Thank You for the blessing that she is to me and to others and I pray that her life will be a witness and testament to Your love. Help her to love others as You do. Please help her to see the way You are working in her life and to recognize how much You love her. Help me to be a reflection of You as I respond to her, teach her, guide her, and love her. Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You will bless my daughter in her friendships. Please help her to be a good example to others and be strong in her conviction to do what is right. Help her to build friendships and relationships that will be beneficial to her growth and spiritual maturity. Please help her to be kind and compassionate. Help her to stand up for those who are struggling and support those who need a friend. Please guide her path so that she intersects with people who will encourage her and support her. Dear Father in Heaven, today I want to pray for my daughter’s marriage. You know the man she will meet and grow to love/has met and loves, and I pray that you will keep him pure in body, mind, and heart. Help his heart to desire You first and foremost and to focus on how He will follow You. Help him to lead her in following You, to support her dreams and goals, and to work hard to provide for the needs of their family. I pray that He will love her and support her, encourage and work beside her. Thank you for knowing the end from the beginning and already having a provision for her best life if she chooses to follow Your direction. I pray that my daughter will grow to love You more each and every day. Please bless the relationship that you have designed for her and help her to feel loved by You and then loved by her husband. Dear Jesus, today I pray for my daughter’s integrity. I pray that she will be honest in everything she says and does. Help her to make things right if she is in the wrong. I pray that her integrity will be directed by You and that You will guide her in her words to be kind to others, uplifting, and a reflection of You as she meets others. As you continue to pray for your daughter, search the scriptures to find Bible promises that you can claim for your daughter. God loves to hear you pray and He has given His words to comfort and encourage us. His promises are trustworthy! If you are praying for your adult daughter, just remember that God hears your prayers just as much when your children are older as when they are younger.
