Mix the warm water, yeast and sugar and allow to rest a few minutes until the yeast gets bubbly. Then add the rest of the ingredients and knead until dough is soft to the touch but doesn’t stick to your fingers.
To make the bunnies, divide the dough in half. Roll one half out into an 8-inch circle and then cut into 8 “pie” pieces. Cut the skinny pointed ends into two skinnier pointed pieces about half way down the “pie” shaped piece. These are the face and ears. With the other half of the dough, roll small balls into a mandarin orange sized ball. Then take the ear pieces and lay the flat outer circle side down for the bottom of the face and place it on the front of the ball. Then give each ear piece a slight twist and lay each ear over the back of the ball. Make a tiny ball for the tail. Continue making bunnies until all of your dough is used up. You can make these smaller for appetizers or larger for dinner rolls.
Place completed bunnies on a greased cookie sheet and allow to double in size.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake the bunnies for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
Serve these with your favorite flavored butter or herbed cream cheese. Enjoy!
